Horizons 18+

 

Horizons is a 26 week, Foundation Focused Training Opportunities adult training programme.

Horizons offers three options of study. Trainees who are accepted on the programme will discuss with tutors which option best suits their needs. Each course of study includes work experience modules and trainees are encouraged and assisted to plan for employment at the end of the programme.

On completion of the programme trainees will be assisted with finding suitable employment and will be supported by YMCA staff for the first 91 days in that employment. 
 
Horizons offers the opportunity for adults to work in a friendly, supportive environment, re-engage with their education and be supported to enter the workforce. Horizons trainees take part in a range of community based activities with YMCA Nelson.
