Pathways 16-18

Pathways is a 47 week course for 16-18 year olds who work toward NCEA Levels 1 & 2.

It is ideal for young people who have left school without enough qualifications and would like to work toward completing their study. While on the course, trainees will complete an average of 40 credits from a selection of Unit Standards.

Applicants for the course will be interviewed before being accepted into the programme.

The course of study for each individual will be slightly different as trainees start with different qualifications. Each trainee will be encouraged to develop a plan for their education and career.

Pathways offers the opportunity for young people to re-engage with their education, work in a friendly, supportive environment and take part in a range of community based activities with YMCA Nelson.
