YMCA Nelson currently delivers a range of free* national certificate qualifications for youth and adults including,
- National Certificate in Educational Achievement ( NCEA)
- National Certificate in Retail
- National Certificate in Security **
- National Certificate in Employment skills
We offer small friendly classes with lots of 1:1 tutor support.
All programmes have work-based training and work experience options. Assistance finding employment or further education is also provided.

Alternitive Education
We provide new learning opportunities for students who are not getting their needs met through mainstream education.
The core of NCEA Level 1 is taught amongst other life skills. A small class size, one to one tuition, lots of activity and great resources help bring out the best in our students.
